Born at Vokkaleri, Kolar Taluk in an agriculture family, completed primary education at his native place.  After completing his High School & degree education at Kolar, he studied M.Sc & M.Philin Central College, Bangalore.

He served as Professor and HOD of Mathematics in V.V.Pura college of Science and Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) for 32 years, in Bangalore.  He authored the text books of Mathematics for B.Sc and B.E of Bangalore University. He also served as Chairman of Board of Examinations in Mathematics of Bangalore University.  After retiring in 2008, he was appointed as Professor and HOD of Mathematics in 2009 in C. Byregowda Institute of Technology (CBIT) Kolar. After serving for 7 years in this institution, he took complete retirement in December 2016.  Presently working as Vice-President, Antharaganga Seva Prathistana.
